So, this note, by me pathetically called the article, is a stupid attempt to systematize my indignation from the fact that recently everything has somehow become tight with such a seemingly banal genre, like a film appetition. All sorts of Godzillas and “cribs 2” come out, from which you want to spit, and not rejoice. And initially, this “article” was conceived precisely as a small material where I analyze the phenomenon of film -applies, and in the example of two films that are very close in the genre, I show why the New Godzilla – Azta. However, when I sat down to write this material itself, I realized that I need to formulate for a start, what a movie art is generally. That is, in general.

And here I frankly hang, my friends. You see what the problem turned out to be-these same attractions found some endless set. The line of my reasoning was approximately like this: it is quite obvious that the cinema -approval is such a film that it is desirable to watch in the cinema (cool sound, picture) is not very smart (the attraction, he should not introduce all kinds of depresses), ideally humorous, but not necessarily necessarily. Okay, it seems like a rather even definition. Began to try to gather representatives of the genre: well, the Pacific Rubezh, the Star Way very much fits very much. Yes, and “star wars”, even if I personally do not like them, but Enivei do not take away this from her. Cinema comics Marvel, in principle, fit here. And then it dawned on me that the series of “Transformers”, too, after all, is a cinema appetition in its purest form. Here I clung to the director Michael Bay and remembered my favorite film, suitable for the title of movie art – “Bad guys 2”. And if they fit into this genre, then the film “Rock”, which I deified, is also fed, which is simply unrealistically cool after all. But at the same time – the attraction! And Nolan, if you look globally, makes cool and smart attractions films. That is, here I consider the “beginning” as an attraction (again – smart and steep), and the “island of the damned” (where there is also Leo, and even the role is similar there) – not.

Too much subjective all sorts of instantly hangs in the air and prevents him from looking normally at things. On the other hand, as soon as it comes to objectivity in terms of something entertaining (game, music, films, books), how I start to cry at all, because it is objective in this … Well, the number of letters/sentences in the book objectively characterizes it. The budget of the film also objectively characterizes it. Or how much time it took for the render of all special effects. But the consumer does not give a damn about it. Someone excitedly reads the “War and Peace”, and someone cannot overpower a miserable story on 20 pages.

So I scored to formulate all this bullshit about any general theses. And then I will simply compare the “Pacific line” and “Godzilla” on the forehead. And even wider than usual – I will compare straight by points so that it is completely depraved. And by the way, there will be all sorts of spoilers! Do not say later that I did not warn! Itaaaaaaaaaaak … let’s get down!

1. Plot, characters, all that.

Let’s start with the plot, yes, because this is the weakest place for both films. Because forgive me, but to combat kaizu, you should not collect robots, but pump weapons. There are some ballistic missiles that would overtake monsters while they hang out in the water on the way to the cities. Or something else like. And in Godzille there are also enough such stupidity. But the essence of the joke is that there are assumptions in the turn, and the rest is already built around them and quite logical, and in Godzille there are no particular assumptions, except that everything around is some clinical idiots.

I will not go all the heavy, painting that the guillermo, having in my hands a rather original concept (albeit a mix of typical stamps for the genre), could simply show the first moments of how Egeri were created and finish on how the dudes simply overcame. However, instead, he chose as a start the moment when Egeri became no longer particularly effective against piercing kaizu. As a result, he had a story about how people were almost on the verge, united and drove along the attacking. It turned out rather gloomily, albeit with the predictable Happpe-end.

Godzilla has the main story … well, how to say so softer. Privran. And all the absurdity of its construction is revealed by the last scene. Imagine: two hefty insects arrive at your city in order to bastard and lay eggs in the middle of the city (well, which of the adequate animals will lay their eggs in an anthill?). Then Godzilla comes to you in the city, oaky -sulfur, as a result, the good 3/4 of the city. As a result, insects are dead, and Godzilla goes to rest. That’s when he gets up – you will shout: “Uraaa! Well done, dude!”Or you will not have a concept, what the hell is this one hundred -meter fool invented, where it will go now and what wants to break? That’s the same.

About the same story with the characters. In the “line”, we are not at all in the Nominee for the Oscar, but nevertheless, persons who have charisma. A couple of moved scientists, Admiral today-we are an assocalipsis, Mr. I am a derem-kaizu, blonde Russians and many more. Yes, the characters turned out to be in places caricatured, but as a result they do not merge at least into the gray mass and at least it is interesting to follow their conversations. Again – they joke! And they are not afraid to behave funny in places.

On the same front, Godzilla has just a solid obstacle. The only characters that are remembered after watching is, in the best case, the moved Heisenberg, who appears only in the first part of the film, and Ken Vatanabe, who was smeared with aphorisms about nature and the whole film appeared on the screen with such a face, as if he had just learned about the existence of something unbearably terrible. The main character has a very vague logic, his wife – even more incredibly behaves, and in general, everyone else’s attempts to play a serious drama suffer an unambiguous fale. You can forget about humor. Everyone with extremely serious faces are extremely seriously trying to treat huge beetles, which they themselves were called a vile (thanks to the localizers, nya).
